Introduction: Considering the importance of corona anxiety during the covid-19 pandemic and the effect of personality traits on it, the present research was conducted with the aim of presenting a model of corona anxiety based on the personality traits with mediation of hypochondriasis in vaccinated people.
Methods: The current research in terms of purpose was applied and in terms of implementation method was descriptive from correlation type. The population of this study was all the vaccinated people who referred to vaccination center of Payambar Azam Complex of Islamic Azad University of West Tehran Branch in the autumn of 2021 year, which among the people received the second dose of corona vaccine numbers of 400 people based on G Power software were selected as a sample by simple random sampling method. Data were collected with demographic information form, hypochondriasis questionnaire, personality traits inventory and corona anxiety scale. Also, data were analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficient and path analysis methods in SPSS and LISREL software.
Results: The findings of this study indicated a significant correlation between personality traits, hypochondriasis and corona anxiety in vaccinated people (P<0.01). Also, the model of corona anxiety based on the personality traits with mediation of hypochondriasis in vaccinated people had a good fit. In this model, the direct effects of neuroticism and extroversion on hypochondriasis and corona anxiety in vaccinated people was positive and significant, the direct effects of agreeableness, openness and conscientiousness on hypochondriasis and corona anxiety in them was negative and significant, and the direct effect of hypochondriasis on corona anxiety in them was positive and significant (P<0.01). In addition, the indirect effects of neuroticism, extroversion, agreeableness, openness, conscientiousness with mediation of hypochondriasis on corona anxiety in vaccinated people were significant (P<0.01).

Conclusions: Based on the results of this study, in order to reduce the corona anxiety through the educational workshops can be provided the ground to reduce neuroticism, extroversion and hypochondriasis and increase agreeableness, openness and conscientiousness.
