Abstract

Introduction: The purpose of this study was to investigate women's experiences of the factors underlying men's extramarital relationships.
Method: Qualitative research study based on phenomenological approach.Data saturation accomplished after participating 29 married women using purposive sampling. Semi-structured in-person interviews were used for data collection. The transcripts of the interviews were analyzed with phenomenological approach using the colaizzi method.
Results: As a result, the main themes and their components and semantic supportive themes were categorized in five main themes of:  women’s vulnerabilities ,  men’s vulnerabilities, problems in spousal intimacy, failure prone marriages , and family disfunctioning . Each of the above components had several supporting semantic units.
Conclusion: Phenomenological themes discovered through lived experiences of women yield new information about the etiology of men's meta-cognitive relationships, which necessitates in-depth explanation of their lived experiences by psychologists and specialists and the development of effective preventive measures based on these findings.

Abstract

Introduction: Divorce has many negative consequences and affects family relationships, including parent-child relationship and custody of children. As a result, the aim of this research was to determine the effectiveness of cognitive therapy training based on mindfulness on the parent-child relationship and consensual custody of children in parents applying for an irreconcilable divorce.
Methods: The present study was a semi-experimental study with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The research community was the parents of unreconciled divorce applicants who referred to counseling centers in Mashhad in the spring of 1400. A sample consisting of 20 couples was selected by purposive sampling method after reviewing the inclusion criteria and randomly replaced by lottery in two equal groups. The experimental group was trained in eight 90-minute sessions (one session per week) with cognitive therapy based on mindfulness, and the control group remained on the waiting list for training. The data were collected with the parent-child relationship scale and the researcher-made questionnaire of consensual custody of the children and were analyzed with chi-square, independent t-tests and multivariate covariance analysis in SPSS-22 software.
Result: The findings showed that there was no significant difference between the experimental and control groups in terms of age, education and occupation (P>0.05). Also, there was a significant difference between the test and control groups in terms of both variables of parent-child relationship and consensual custody of children in parents applying for an irreconcilable divorce. In other words, the cognitive therapy training method based on mindfulness improved the parent-child relationship and consensual custody of children in parents applying for an unconsolidated divorce (P<0.001).
Conclusion: According to the results of the present study, it is necessary to plan to improve the health of the family, especially to improve the parent-child relationship and consensual custody of children. For this purpose, cognitive therapy based on mindfulness can be used along with other educational methods.

Abstract

Introduction: Various factors at the personality and psychological levels, such as feelings of inferiority, excitement seeking, and attachment styles separately and in interaction with each other, affect the relationship between couples and lead to an increase in their tendency towards marital infidelity. In this regard, the present study was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of emotion-oriented therapy on feelings of inferiority, sensation-seeking, and attachment styles of married women with experience of extramarital relationships.
Methodology: The research method was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. Its statistical population was made up of all the women of Mashhad who were involved in or had experience of extramarital relationships and who had a counseling case in Pidaish counseling centers of Mashhad; 40 women who met the conditions to enter the research were selected by available sampling method and randomly replaced in two experimental (20 people) and control (20 people) groups. The data collection tool was Hazen and Shaver's attachment style questionnaire (1986), Zuckerman's sensation seeking (1979) and Eysenck's inferiority complex (1988). The training group was given emotional therapy during 9 sessions, and the control group was not subjected to any intervention. Data analysis was done through univariate and multivariate covariance analysis using SPSS-22 software.
Results: The findings showed that emotion-oriented therapy training is effective on sensation seeking, feelings of inferiority and on all three secure, avoidant and ambivalent attachment styles (P=0.001).
Conclusion: The results showed the effectiveness of emotion-oriented therapy on feelings of inferiority, sensation-seeking, and attachment styles of married women with experience of extramarital relationships. Therefore, therapists and psychologists can use this treatment method to improve psychological health, especially to reduce feelings of inferiority, sensation seeking, and to improve secure attachment styles

Abstract

introduction: Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder that involves three areas social interaction, communication, and stereotyped behavior patterns such as hyperactivity, impulsive behavior, self-harm, and aggression. This research aimed to compare the effectiveness of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and nature-based play therapy (Fluortime) on the severity of Garz test symptoms in children with autism spectrum disorder in 2011 in Qom.
.
Methods: The study included 45 autistic children and a quasi-experimental model of pre-test-post-test design and follow-up with a control group. The statistical population of the research included all children with autism in the city of Qom in Golhay Behesht Autism Center. The tool used had parts related to demographic information, Garez questionnaire 2 (severity of autism) and communication variables, stereotyped movements, and social interaction of children. Sampling was done by the available method and they were randomly divided into three test groups: applied analysis method, 15 people, 15 people in the flortime play therapy group, and 15 people in the control group. Floortime plays therapy intervention was provided to the experimental group in 23 sessions of 20 minutes in the designated sessions. The control group was not given any training. Repeated measurement analysis of variance, and post hoc Ben Feroni test for pairwise comparisons of the effect of groups and times on dependent variables were performed, and the software used in this research for data analysis was SPSS24 and AMOS24.

Results: The difference in the effect of the two methods of applied behavior analysis and Floortime play therapy on the components and the total score of the severity of autism symptoms is not significant. Therefore, there is no significant difference between the effectiveness of applied behavior analysis and flortime play therapy on the severity of symptoms in children with autism spectrum disorder. (0.001)
Conclusion: Functional behavior analysis and Floortime play therapy during the implementation period and two months after the implementation period led to a significant decrease in the average scores of Garez test components in the severity of symptoms and autism treatment used.
