Introduction: Hospital employees in comparing with employees of many other organizations and female employees in comparing with male employees faced with more stress and tension, which these factors causing their health loss. Therefore, the aim of present research was determine the effect of training based on acceptance and commitment on flexibility, perceived stress and resilience of female employees of hospital.
Methods: This study was a semi-experimental with a pre-test and post-test design including the intervention and control groups. Research population was female employees of Ganjavian hospital of Dezful city in 2018 year, which 30 people from them selected by available sampling method and randomly with lottery divided into two equal groups (each group 15 people). The intervention group received 8 sessions of 60 minutes training based on acceptance and commitment and the control group didn’t receive any training. Research tools were including the questionnaires of flexibility, perceived stress and resilience. Data were analyzed with using the SPSS-21 software by multivariate analysis of covariance method.
Results: The intervention and control groups had a significant difference in terms of flexibility, perceived stress and resilience. In the other words, training based on acceptance and commitment led to significant improve the flexibility (F=185/405, P<0/001), resilience (F=168/688, P<0/001) and perceived stress (F=10/732, P<0/003) in female employees of hospital.
Conclusions: The results indicated the effect of training based on acceptance and commitment on improving the flexibility, perceived stress and resilience in female employees of hospital. As a result, to promote the flexibility and resilience and to decrease the perceived stress can be used from training based on acceptance and commitment method.
